Summer Solstice Ride
Saturday, June 20, 2026
8:00 AM
Sabine Farm, Greenwich
Directions
Wear your RED, WHITE, AND BLUE and join us for our annual Summer Solstice Ride! Participate in a wide variety of rides, short and easy to longer and quicker. It’s a ride at your own pace morning, so people can ride out as long as they’d like to. There will be jumps in Sabine Field (low and high options).
We will have a food truck on site and will offer a nice lunch with tablecloth seating, wine etc. for spectators, should you have friends who don’t ride but want to get out and enjoy the camaraderie and atmosphere.
Enjoy a Champagne Station sponsored by Mackenzie and Ryan Brumberg.
We encourage trailers and vans to arrive promptly at 8am to park, enjoy a quick breakfast bite (included for early birds!) and meet and greet. Ride off will begin shortly after 9 am.
We are greatly looking forward to seeing many old friends and meeting new ones!
Event History
Since 1974, the GRTA’s annual Summer Solstice Ride has carried on the tradition set by Donna and Fred Nives. Originating from their home on Lake Avenue, the Summer Solstice Ride was always the first “ride out” of the season. Even as the ride has changed location it has continued to be the season opener for spring riding followed by a picnic lunch in the Greenwich Land Trust Fisher field, Mother’s Day weekend. Many of the old stonewalls and original trails are still intact and very little has changed on these precious trails that have been meticulously maintained since 1904 by our beloved GRTA trail man.
